GLENBURN TWP. — Magnotta Hardwood Floors defeated Pure Suds Co., 17-8, in an Abington Little League Major Farm baseball playoff game June 19.

Magnotta Floors took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when Zach Magnotta, who had four hits, singled and scored on an error.

Ryan Kearney recorded three of his six strikeouts in the first for Pure Suds.

Magnotta drove in two runs with a triple and Nicky Marturano had an RBI groundout in the top of the second when Magnotta Floors stretched its lead to 4-0.

Marturano, who finished with five strikeouts, struck out three for Magnotta Floors in the second.

Robbie Weber drove in a run with a triple, James Mitchell had a two-run double, and Magnotta and Marturano each had a RBI single in the top of the third for Magnotta Floors.

Colin Knott and Finn Spangenberg each drove in a run with a single in the bottom of the third for Pure Suds.

Knott struck out four batters in 1 2/3 innings of work for Suds.

Ryan Kearney, Eddie Scavone and Luke Paulino walked with the bases loaded to drive in runs, and Spangenberg had an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth for Pure Suds.

Leo Valic had a two-run double, Michael Gunnels and Sayid Ferguson each walked with the bases loaded to drive in a run, and Magnotta had a inside-the-park grand slam for Magnotta Floors in the top of the sixth.

Matt Kearney had a two-run, inside-the-park home run for Pure Suds in the bottom of the sixth.

Magnotta struck out four batters and Mitchell struck out five during two innings of work for Magnotta Floors.
