Sweet 16 odds: Michigan 7-1 to win national title

Now that the NCAA Tournament field has been reduced to 16 teams, Michigan has the fourth-best odds (tied with Kentucky) to win the national championship.

VegasInsider.com says Michigan and Kentucky are 7-1 to claim the title, following Villanova (18-5), Duke (4-1) and Kansas (6-1).

Michigan’s opponent in the Sweet 16, Texas A&M, has 30-1 odds.

Michigan advanced to the Sweet 16 by defeating Houston on Saturday night on Jordan Poole’s 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Syracuse, which defeated Michigan State on Sunday, has 80-1 odds, 15th among the 16 teams remaining.
