AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - When high school athletes sign their letters of intent to play the sports they love in college, it’s a special moment for everyone who helped make those opportunities possible.

Three more Silver Bluff Bulldogs signed the dotted line on Wednesday.

Basketball star Ahminah Taylor will be taking her talents to the court to play for Benedict College next year.

“What really got me to go to Benedict is when I had a workout and it had me a little dead. So, I was like, ‘Oh I know this college right here is going to really put me to the test.’ I can see I’m really going to grow at this college,” said Taylor.

Gage Walker will be running track for Limestone University, and Makya Bing also signed up to run at the next level for Livingstone College.

“It means the world to my family because my mom doesn’t have to pay for college and that was my dream. My mom did everything she could to get me through school, and I get to repay it by using my talents. So, it’s a dream come true,” said Walker.

Bing said: “A lot of people think that we’re in a 2A school in the middle of nowhere, you’re not going to make it out. You have to go to Texas or some big school or whether to be seen. Just to be able to be seen here at Silver Bluff on 278, it’s amazing to me.”

This trio of signees put in endless hours of hard work on the court, the field, the track and in the classroom to make their dream become a reality.
