KINGMAN, Kan. (WIBW) - A truck driver suffered serious injuries in a crash early Thursday in Kingman County in south-central Kansas, officials said.

The crash was reported at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at K-14 highway and S.E. 50th Street. The location was about 4 miles south of the city of Kingman.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2007 Peterbilt semi was northbound on K-14 when it drifted to the right and left the roadway. The driver then over-corrected and the semi overturned.

The driver, Drew Thomas, 55, of Wheeler, Texas, was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with serious injuries. The patrol said Thomas, who was alone in the semi, was wearing his seat belt.
