Most memorable high school moment: It is nearly impossible for me to pick just one memorable experience across my entire high school career, as I’ve enjoyed a wide variety of exciting moments and opportunities over the past four years. Upon reflection I think my most fulfilling experiences have always been derived from the connections I’ve built with those around me. My involvement at Westosha Central has given me the privilege of interacting with students and faculty members from many different walks of life. Whether it be through organizing big events with friends and advisors, winning intense games with teammates, or simply saying hello to a peer passing by in the hallway, I’ve witnessed firsthand a recurring theme within our school and community. The “Central Culture” is something truly unique and entirely unmatched in comparison to anything I’ve been a part of so far. The way students uplift and support one another, overcome adversity, and strive for the very best never ceases to inspire me. I will always be grateful for the memories and connections I’ve developed during this chapter of my life, all of which leave me hopeful as I embark on new, thrilling adventures.

Most influential teacher: Lucas Wagner in Advanced Marketing; Advanced Sports & Entertainment Marketing; Sports & Entertainment Marketing; School Store Internship; Since Mr. Wagner first joined our business-marketing department he’s been considered a “fan favorite” among students, and it’s easy to see why. His friendly, easy-going personality creates a class environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions, making creative decisions, and involving themselves in opportunities the department provides as a whole. It is evident that Mr. Wagner truly cares about the well-being of his students; perhaps more importantly, he has the ability to instill absolute confidence in each and every student he interacts with. I know this because he was the one who encouraged me to apply for my first leadership position at our school. This sustained, unwavering belief in my abilities propelled me to eventually oversee the planning, organizing, and execution of numerous school-sanctioned events and initiatives. On a personal level Mr. Wagner always gives me the best advice and supports me through both my failures and successes! I am thankful to have had him as a teacher and advisor, and will greatly miss working with him towards the betterment of our department, school, and community.

What I hope to accomplish in my lifetime: In the near future I hope to have a successful collegiate soccer career at UW-Parkside, where I am committed to continue playing while pursuing a degree in Sport Management. Over the course of my lifetime, however, I would like my success to be measured by the magnitude of my character and ability to impact others through the work I accomplish. Tangible accolades and awards usually fade over time as we inevitably outgrow our current ambitions and goals, but the legacies we are capable of creating are timeless. Because of this I hope to continually discover new ways to improve myself, thereby expanding my capacity to lead and inspire others towards positive change.
