Doctor Alex Nikulin from the Binghamton University Geology Department is presenting “What Effect has Fracking had on Seismic Activity in NY and Pa” at 8 p.m. at the center on Underwood Road in Vestal.

A news release from the science center says there is growing evidence of rising levels of seismic activity in areas of the country where there has been expanded use of fracking with the injection of wastewater into shale deposits.

The program will be livestreamed on the Kopernik YouTube channel.
