Bishkek, Oct. 19, 2018. /Kabar/. Introduction of green economy in Kyrgyzstan is a contribution to the preservation of the ecology of the entire region of Central Asia, Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zamirbek Askarov told at the Green Economy Forum.

He said that the long-term development program of the country is being implemented through the effective use of water-land resources, its biodiversity, energy potential, advantages of the mountain landscape and agro-industry. These are all fundamentals of a green economy.

“The Kyrgyz Parliament approved the country's concept of a green economy, where the vision of this industry is defined. In turn, within the framework of the government program and the concept of the parliament, the tools for introducing a green economy are being developed,” he said.

The Vice Prime Minister noted that within the framework of the government’s program entitled “Unity. Trust. Creation ", the task of careful use of elements of the green economy moves to the forefront.

In addition, Askarov stressed that Kyrgyzstan, is the water tower of the region thanks to its location among the mountains, therefore the introduction of green economy is the contribution of the Kyrgyz Republic to preserving the ecology of all of Central Asia.

“Therefore, we are open to like-minded people and our country is open to investment with the introduction of technology. One of the practical steps is to create a climate fund, which is engaged in attracting investment,” he added.
